Import Policy

Unwrought non-alloy aluminium (HS 7601.10) has a 5% MFN rate, split by grade: below 99.95% Al (ordinary ingot such as A00 / P1020, 7601.10.90) the 0% provisional rate applies, while 99.95% and above (7601.10.10) has no provisional rate and pays 5%. Unwrought aluminium alloys (HS 7601.20) have a 7% MFN rate. Import VAT is 13%. Aluminium waste and scrap (HS 7602.00) has a 1.5% MFN rate, with a 0% provisional rate applied to recycled aluminium and aluminium-alloy raw material; material meeting the national recycled-aluminium standards imports as an ordinary product, non-compliant material is banned, and it again depends on the 10-digit subheading declared. Bauxite (HS 2606) is duty-free; alumina (HS 2818.20) has a 5% MFN rate with a 0% provisional rate applied. On the export side, primary aluminium carries a 30% statutory export duty (0% provisional only for 99.995%+ high-purity metal); alloy ingot and scrap are at 15% provisional.
